One colony of Mould repeatedly
Isolated from Cornea
• A 34 year old male
(previous corneal transplant recipient) had a garbage splash into
the eye
• The patient presented
with ocular pain, redness & decreased vision and was treated
with tobramycin drops in the eye
• The symptoms progressed
and a corneal ulcer was diagnosed and prednisolone was added
• The pain intensified
and the patient was rushed to the ER
• The patient noted
a sudden gush of clear fluid from the eye, softness of the globe
and corneal perforation was found
