Phaeoannellomyces werneckii

• Stain: Lactophenol Aniline Blue
• Stain: x400

Structure: Early on, pale and dark brown yeast like cells, some with septum in the middle, these are actually annellides, as the culture ages, thick-walled dark and closely septated hyphae may be seen. One or two celled annelloconidia accumulate at annellidic points along hyphae. Each conidium can function as an annellide and produce a new conidium.
