Services :: Surveillance
Increasing
antimicrobial resistance in a number of pathogens is becoming a serious issue
and obviously has an impact on treatment. We identify the molecular mechanisms
of resistance, examine resistance selection in vitro and in vivo,
and carry out antimicrobial susceptibility testing according to NCCLS
guidelines.
Some of our services which are of use in surveillance studies
and epidemiological investigations are serotyping, PFGE, and MIC determination.
