Biography

Christine Moore hails from Winnipeg, Manitoba. She earned her Bachelor of Science at the University of Winnipeg and her MLT at the Red River Community/Health Sciences Center. After spending two years as a laboratory technologist and then four years as an instructor at the Red River Community College, she transferred to Toronto.

Once on staff at Mount Sinai Hospital, Christine took on the position of a general duty technologist in the department of microbiology. She worked in all areas of the lab, including; diagnostic microbiology, research, serology, virology, mycobacteriology, parasitology and mycology. During this period, she was also actively involved as a tutor at the Michener Institute for Applied Health Sciences in Toronto.

After spending over twelve years in these positions, the transition to her new position as an Infection Control Practitioner was relatively smooth for Christine. She has quickly become an integrated member of the clinical care team of Mount Sinai Hospital. As an ICP, she is primarily responsible for working with the clinical teams in the outpatient departments, the OR and the medicine and surgery services.
