The Role of Major Histocompatibility Complex (MHC) in Mediating Resistance to HIV-1

The project is aimed at understanding how MHC, either through anti-MHC immune responses or MHC restricted antiviral responses, protects against sexual and perinatal HIV Infection. This project is part of an inter-institutional MRC group and involves researchers at the Universities of Manitoba, Nairobi and Toronto.
