The Role of Human Leucocyte Antigens (HLA) in Maternal-Child
HIV-1 Transmission in the Women Infant Transmission (WITS) Cohort
This project is the result of collaboration with
the Women Infant Transmission Study, sponsored by the US National
Institutes of Health. By examining the degree of HLA concordance
between mothers and infants in the study, we aim to determine whether
alloimmune responses influence perinatal HIV transmission.
