Blastomyces dermatitidis

Yeast Phase Conversion: Mycelial phase of Blastomyces dermatitidis is converted to a yeast phase in BHIA incubated at 37ºC.

The conidia of many fungi that grow as white and tolerate Cycloheximide are separated from Blastomyces dermatitidis, since these fungi fail to convert into yeast phase at 37ºC.
